AUDIO DESIGN ASSOCIATES INTRODUCES IHOME MULTI-CENTER
Wins An Electronic House Magazine Product Of The Year Award!
Denver, CO - September 11, 2006 - At this year’s CEDIA Expo, Audio Design Associates (ADA) -- the recognized brand of excellence in high-end custom installed electronics – announced the introduction of the iHome Multi-Center. As told by COO and VP Richard Stoerger, ADA’s iHome Multi-Center, which just won an Electronic House Magazine Product of the Year Award, is the "Swiss Army pocket knife" of music servers. iHome Multi-Center is a two-zone (analog and digital audio) iTunes-based music server and the only server that can playback Apple’s AAC DRM files. The iHome Multi-Center has a third zone that outputs digital SPDIF and Hi-Def video, operating as a Media Center PC. This output also permits the inclusion of MusicGiants, a high-resolution download music service provider with bit rates well above those found on other on-line music stores. Finally, the iHome Multi-Center is an IP control system, generating both full size and mini-size Flash based html pages that can be brought up on any browser capable of running Flash. These pages permit two-way control of the ADA System as well as offering surfing functions of the music library, XM Radio, Sirius Radio and standard or HD radio. Stoerger says, "The iHome Multi-Center is also built extremely well, like all ADA products. It features dual hard-drives (400 Gig) that operate in a RAID I configuration such that if a drive fails, the customer will not experience any downtime or loss of music while the installer is sent an email indicating that a service call is required. We expect to ship units with optional 750 Gig drives in early 2007." The iHome Multi-Center is also fan-cooled (5 fans total). By maintaining room temperature thermal loads inside the iHome Multi-Center, ADA helps extend the life of the component. The iHome Multi-Center is ideally matched with ADA’s Suite 16, Suite 8x8, Suite 8100 Multi-Room Receiver, and HTR-2400 Home (multi-room) and Theater AV Receiver.
