SNAPAV ADDS 1080P IP CAMERAS AND NVRS TO ITS WIREPATH™ SURVEILLANCE LINE
Indianapolis, IN – September 5, 2012 – SnapAV, a manufacturer and exclusive source of more than 1,000 A/V solutions for the residential and commercial channels, today announced the addition of 1080p IP Cameras and NVRs to its popular Wirepath Surveillance line. Later this year the company begins shipping five 2-megapixel cameras (true 1080p) in dome, bullet and PTZ formats. The cameras utilize an all-new housing that features a video test port, external zoom and focus adjustments. A unique feature of the new camera housing is an external power port that enables the dealer to install and adjust a camera even if no power yet exists at the jobsite. The new housing design is also employed in the company’s analog cameras beginning in Q1. “We’ve received a lot of feedback from dealers and have developed a housing that truly allows them to make one trip up the ladder to setup their camera,” says G. Paul Hess Business Unit Manager for Wirepath Surveillance. “The fact that this housing will be used for both our analog and IP cameras means dealers can benefit from these features on all of their jobs and only need to carry a single line of mounting accessories,” Hess added. In conjunction with the new IP cameras, SnapAV has added new NVRs to support 4, 9 and 16 cameras, and has added IP encoders to the line.
