SNAPAV LAUNCHES NEW EPISODE IN-ROOM SUBWOOFER LINE

All High-Performance Subs in High-Gloss Finish and for Concealed Applications, Matte Black; New Wireless Kit Provides Greater Installation Flexibility

Charlotte, NC – September 8, 2011 – SnapAV, a manufacturer and exclusive source of more than 1,000 high-quality solutions for the custom A/V channel in the US and Canada, is replacing its original Episode in-room subwoofer line with a new one.

The new line consists of three ported subs (110-watt RMS 8-inch; 200-watt RMS 10-inch sub, 300-watt RMS 12-inch) and a sealed 110-watt RMS 8-inch Cub-Sub. All new BASH amplification technology and woven fiberglass driver material deliver significant improvements in both accuracy and output over their predecessors.

Each sub is available in either a high-gloss black that matches the many different Episode series of tower and bookshelf models, or a brand new matte black finish ideal for hideaway installations.

According to SnapAV Vice President of Product Strategy, Eric Harper, the company’s philosophy with the new line was to separate performance from aesthetics. “We didn’t think that dealers should have to pay a finish premium for applications where the subwoofer will be hidden,” says Harper.

Wireless Kit
Also new from SnapAV is its Episode Wireless Subwoofer Kit that enables placement a subwoofer anywhere in the room. According to Harper, the kit is ideal for systems where the system wasn't pre-wired for a sub or perhaps was originally wired to the wrong spot.

The kit uses wireless technology similar to gear used in professional and live concert venues making it less susceptible than traditional consumer products to interference from Wi-Fi signals, microwave ovens and other RF devices. The kit has a range of 50 feet.
