TRIAD SPEAKERS REPLACES POPULAR OMNIROUND INCEILING DISTRIBUTED AUDIO SPEAKERS WITH FRAMELESS SERIES

Portland, OR – At the 2010 CEDIA Expo, custom loudspeaker manufacturer Triad Speakers will unveil its first “frameless” in-ceiling speakers for distributed audio applications. The line includes three sizes labeled Mini, Bronze and Silver, plus a dual tweeter version of the Silver products. Available are 4 sealed (SealedRound) and 4 open back (OpenRound) versions of each product - each optimized for its specific acoustic environment. The dual tweeter (DT) versions offer multiple configuration options as dipole or bipole, or dual-channel speakers.

All of the new models feature die-cast aluminum housings. Neither grill style utilizes any bezel whatsoever. Available are round or square grills that attach via magnets. The sealed versions are designed to meet the UL 2043 plenum rating standard – their enclosure and mounting casting are metal, therefore all parts penetrating the ceiling material are inherently fireproof. Incorporated into the SealedRound are three security tabs for securely fastening the speakers for false ceiling mounting.

“With their very clean and unobtrusive look, I believe these are the most attractive in-ceiling products on the market today,” says Triad founder Larry Pexton. “Our engineers have worked on this project for more than two years. While the product is manufactured in China, it was very much designed in Portland, and we are very pleased with the cosmetic and audio quality we have achieved at real world price points.”

The 4 SealedRound models range in MSRP from $250 to $450 (each); the 4 OpenRound models range in MSRP from $150 to $350 (each). In-house custom paint matching by Triad is available for all models at no up-charge. All models are slated to begin shipping to dealers in Q4 of 2010. The line will be on display at Triad’s booth #3026 at the 2010 CEDIA Expo.
