STEVE HAYES JOINS SNAPAV AS VICE PRESIDENT OF DEALER PROFITABILITY

A Shared Business Philosophy to Lead Dealers Towards More Successful Operations

Charlotte, NC - January 20, 2009 - SnapAV -- a manufacturer and exclusive distributor of nearly 500 high-quality products for the custom audio / video channel in the US and Canada -- today announced that Steve Hayes has joined the company as Vice President of Dealer Profitability.

SnapAV President Jay Faison reports that the company created this unique role for Hayes based on their shared philosophy of implementing process driven methodologies that enable custom home theater installation companies to run more profitable businesses.

As an industry executive and business consultant for nearly three decades, Hayes has helped corporations and retailers run more efficient operations. He has served as International CEDIA President including multiple executive chairs on the CEDIA Board of Directors and was owner of Custom Electronics, Inc. of Falmouth, Maine. Most recently Hayes served as SpeakerCraft Executive Vice President of Sales.

Faison says, “SnapAV’s mission is to help dealers be more successful and more profitable. We encourage dealers to carefully manage their cost of goods and approach their business with a goal of establishing repeatable, profitable practices. These are the very same issues that Hayes focused on when he presided over CEDIA, consulted privately to dealers and operated his own business. Collectively, we will help dealers to more successfully position their individual company ‘brand’ to customers while improving their organizational structure and profitability.”

Hayes says, “The SnapAV business model is in direct correlation with how I believe manufacturers should be treating dealers. The business operation is professional and far exceeds how other manufacturers are running their companies, which allows SnapAV efficiencies that others will not be able to match. This permits us to make a living while passing along tremendous profit opportunities to our dealers, which in my book is a win-win situation for all. I am so excited about joining SnapAV that I have relocated from my beloved coast of Maine to Charlotte, NC, where SnapAV is headquartered.”

Steve Hayes can be reached at 704.909.5833 (office), 207.415.0083 (cell) or via email at hayes@snapav.com.
