AUDIO DESIGN ASSOCIATES DELIVERS NEW TS-8611 TOUCH SCREEN AT $699 MSRP

Fully Self-Contained 240x320 TFT LCD Display w/ White Backlighting; Connects to A/V System via One Cat-5 Cable; No Custom Programming Required; Interchangeable with any ADA Keypad / Anticipated to be Company’s Most Successful Control Interface to Da

White Plains, NY – June 11, 2008 – Audio Design Associates (ADA), the recognized brand of excellence in high-end custom installed electronics and a founding member of the CEDIA organization, will start shipping dealers its new TS-8611 touch screen this month.

At a $699 MSRP, the new TS-8611 touch screen delivers a bright, high contrast 240 x 320 pixel TFT LCD display with incorporated white LED backlighting. Navigating the TS-8611 touch screen is effortless; users control the audio and video components by simply pressing their corresponding graphic icons located on the screen.

Once the component is playing, the TS-8611 automatically switches to a “now playing” screen that displays up to five lines of information text. When the TS-8611 is used to control an ADA tuner; an iPod docked in an ADA iBase, or an ADA MSC-3 music server controller, the user can surf channels, genres, play lists, artists, songs, albums, etcetera - all by name.

The TS-8611 requires no custom enclosure. It fits inside a standard single-gang wall box and connects to the system mainframe via one Cat-5 cable. Its white metal faceplate is completely screw-less, attaching to the touch screen magnetically.

The TS-8611 provides for “creature comforts” such as tone controls, alarm clock, sleep timer, auto-dimming and the ability to take over control in other rooms.

Richard Stoerger, Vice President & COO states, “Simply put, custom integrators and homeowners will love the TS-8611 for its blend of intuitive control, clean looking industrial design and affordable price.”

The TS-8611 is compatible with ADA’s Suite 16, Suite 8x8, Suite 8200 and SWAN distributed audio systems. Using ADA’s Keypad Uploader (a PC program in which the installer types in the home’s room names, source names, and what the sources are) the installer uploads to the ADA keypads and touch screens all in one shot. In real time, the touch screens automatically assemble and label the pages that are already pre-installed by the factory.

”From a company renowned for its best-in-class multi-room mainframes, it is only in the last few years that ADA has aimed its engineering arm at what it calls ‘a well balanced line of controls.’ Beginning with our MC-6111 and MC-7000 button-based music controls that provided multi-line text feedback -- and last year’s well-received TS-5000 touch screen -- ADA continues to raise the bar for its concept of the ‘music control,’ a phrase that the company itself coined in 1977,” added Stoerger.

Additional information on the entire line of ADA touch screens, keypads and audio components is available by visiting www.ada.net or calling 1.800.HD.AUDIO.
