AUDIO DESIGN ASSOCIATES INTRODUCES SWAN: A REVOLUTIONARY, HIGH-QUALITY MODULAR DISTRIBUTED AUDIO SYSTEM FOR THE MDU, TRACT AND CUSTOM HOME MARKETS

Patent Pending Technology, Entry-Level Pricing, Flexible Architecture and Superior Sound

Adheres to Fannie Mae Guidelines for Inclusion of Home Electronics in the Mortgage

White Plains, NY – April 26, 2007 - At last week’s Electronic Lifestyles Expo in Las Vegas, NV, Audio Design Associates (ADA) -- the recognized brand of excellence in high-end custom installed audio electronics -- demonstrated its new SWAN (Structured Wiring Audio Network) - a multi-room audio system aimed at the multiple dwelling unit (MDU), tract home and custom built home markets.

According to Richard Stoerger, ADA VP and COO, SWAN is designed to make distributed audio an “easier sell” to both single and multiple homebuilders. SWAN is a high performance, entry-level priced modular audio system that fits into standard structured wiring cabinets that are mounted in between wall studs. “By centralizing the majority of the audio system in a location well suited for wiring termination, SWAN eliminates the need for custom entertainment cabinets and expensive equipment racks,” says Stoerger.

SWAN is compatible with all source components such as HD and satellite tuners, DVD players, iPods, cable-boxes, etc. Designed to simplify the project’s overall wiring scheme, SWAN runs on CAT-5 cable and easily connects with keypads and touch screens for complete home system control.

SWAN is engineered to sound great; the system employs ADA’s potent high-current Class A/B power amplification that delivers 35 watts per channel @ 8 Ohms; 75 watts per channel @ 4 Ohms and is stable down to 2 Ohms, thus permitting as many as 4 rooms (pairs of speakers) to run on a single SWAN zone. A simple SWAN system starts with 8-sources playing to 4 zones and can easily be expanded in 4-zone increments.

Stoerger says, ”SWAN is a profitable distributed audio solution for our dealers; it enables them to simply sell the pre-wire package and structured wiring box to the builder / developer, and then work directly with the home buyer prior to closing.”

Stoerger continued, ”A really cool aspect of SWAN is that it adheres to the Fannie Mae requirement guidelines, as its electronics are permanently mounted in a sanctioned enclosure. Therefore the homebuyer can enjoy an ADA system for just pennies a day at their low mortgage interest rate, which makes SWAN a complete win for the home buyer, homebuilder and dealer alike.”

“SWAN makes possible awesome whole-house sound, at a great price, with an easy install,” says Albert G. Langella, ADA President, CEO & Chief Design Engineer. “Having led the distributed audio segment for 30 years, SWAN represents pure evolution for ADA; fusing the technical prowess that built our stellar reputation, with a vision of the whole-house audio needs and opportunities at both the single and multiple home market levels.”

SWAN demonstrates tremendous flexibility: Installers can add 4-zone preamplifier and integrated-amplifier modules that elegantly plug into one another (given enough space in the structured wiring box). Depending on the configuration, the system enables 8 source components to reach up to 48-zones.

Structured wiring boxes can also be “ganged” together to create even larger systems. No special wiring is required beyond CAT-5 cable and 16/4 speaker wire. ADA also provides a double-tuner module that can house any of the company’s critically-acclaimed HD, Sirius or XM digital radio tuners, which would add a single RG-6 cable from the structured wiring box to the antenna location.

Included with SWAN is a PC Program that permits installers to setup each zone’s acoustical settings such as bass, mid-range, treble and active loudness contour - a feature that provides deep bass at even background music levels.

SWAN also features 4 “Party Groups” that makes it easy to turn on several rooms with the press of just one button. SWAN can also be used to play door chimes through its paging input as well as provide room-to-room paging when using ADA’s Phone Suite accessory.

SWAN is a patent pending technology. ADA is considering licensing the technology to other consumer electronics manufacturers. Interested parties can contact Richard Stoerger, ADA VP and COO, at 914.946.9595 or email richard@ada-usa.com

ADA expects SWAN to be ready to ship to dealers this summer. ADA will set pricing closer to that time.
