TRIAD SPEAKERS, INC. ROLLS OUT IMPROVEMENTS TO AN ALREADY SUCCESSFUL CUSTOM PAINT-MATCHING PROGRAM

Acquisition of Digital Paint-Matching Equipment and New Metal Grilles Enable Delivery of Custom-Painted Loudspeakers In Just 5 Days. And, It’s Now Free!!! / Ideal for All Triad InWall, InCeiling, OnWall and InRoom Loudspeakers

Denver, CO – September 14, 2006 - Custom loudspeaker solution manufacturer Triad Speakers, Inc., today announced that they are implementing a new, streamlined process for custom paint-matching that, according to Sales and Marketing Director Paul Scarpelli, is completely unprecedented in today’s custom loudspeaker category.

Triad has long been recognized within the CEDIA channel as having an unrivaled custom paint-matching program wherein dealers and interior designers could send a paint sample that the company would then custom-match using the very best paint for a complete blend within the client’s home décor. With a standard turn-around time of 3 weeks -- and at an additional custom-paint retail price of $300 per color -- the previous program had been hugely successful for Triad these past 15 years.

Now, effective October 1, 2006, to help the dealer meet the demands of today’s fast-paced installation environment, Triad has implemented a new program that will enable them to ship the custom paint-matched loudspeaker within just 5 working days and at no additional cost.

Triad is able to achieve this new “shorter timeframe” custom paint delivery program for several reasons: The company has made a considerable financial investment to bring the digital paint-matching hardware in-house to their Portland, OR manufacturing facility and is now stocking all tints and base coats necessary for custom painting. Additionally, across their Bronze, Silver, and Gold LCR product lines, the company has replaced the cloth grilles with metal Acoustimesh grilles that can now be painted.

“Supply us with a paint sample and we’ll match it at no extra charge!” exclaims Scarpelli.
“The new metal grilles look and sound great. And for us to now be able to deliver a handsome custom painted LCR loudspeaker with both a color matched grille and pedestal is a huge win for our dealers!”

“It is important for me to put into perspective just how unique this program is,” added Scarpelli. “All Triad Speaker products -- except our InCeiling OmniRound series -- are built to
order in our Portland, OR factory, at a time when nearly all other loudspeaker companies in our channel are getting containers of speakers from China. Our dealers have special needs - orders come in for different custom colors, custom and standard veneer finishes, and even custom-engineered enclosure sizes and shapes. We have to manufacture one piece at a time, and that means proudly doing it in the United States. No other loudspeaker manufacturer can do it, nor do they want to, because it’s too hard! Yet, we do it as efficiently as possible and still remain price competitive!”

The custom paint-matching program is yet another example of Triad’s unique “lean manufacturing” process where workers build products fresh to order daily, ensuring the highest possible quality control. Workers are also engaged in new, innovative practices to improve production throughout the entire manufacturing process including the reduction of waste materials. Triad’s implementation of lean manufacturing helps contribute to the long-term prosperity of Oregon’s economy and its citizens.
