IHIJI MARKS ANNIVERSARY WITH HUGELY SUCCESSFUL CEDIA EXPO 2010
Cloud-based Electronic Systems Monitoring Solution invision Wins Multiple Awards; Company Showcases New Features and Extends Their Commitment To Educate Dealers
Austin, TX – ihiji (pronounced "eye-he-gee") wowed CEDIA Expo 2010 attendees with impressive new features and functionality, while educating the masses on the tangible benefits easily derived through the implementation of remote systems monitoring and maintenance solutions. The company received two industry awards while there, on the anniversary of their launch one year ago. Award recognition invision, the company’s easy to setup and simple to use cloud-based electronic systems monitoring solution was recently honored with two prestigious industry awards; CEDIA Manufacturers’ Excellence Awards’ Best New Product and CEPro Magazine’s BEST Managed/ Remote Systems Award, both of which were bestowed upon ihiji during CEDIA Expo 2010. New features unveiled A first for the category, ihiji unveiled robust two-way communication that provides real-time remote systems restart, reboot and repair. Unlike any other product on the market today, invision grants integrators the ability to remotely troubleshoot and repair common field problems in real-time using only a web browser. For instance, rebooting control processors or triggering remote power outlet reboots on IP-addressable power units can now be done directly within the invision interface from virtually anywhere, potentially eliminating costly, time-consuming and often unnecessary service calls. ihiji has secured several new manufacturer integration partnerships, further enabling communication between connected devices and the invision interface. Differentiating themselves from the competition yet again, the roster of certified integration partners now includes Crestron, Control4 and Netstreams, with custom ihiji monitoring modules in place for AMX and Panamax/Furman. Plans call for many more to be added before the end of the year. Improved smart-phone functionality enables integrators to access client system alerts directly from their handset, enabling fewer truck rolls and faster response times. “We feel extremely fortunate to be able to provide our customers this exciting new solution. The invision product provides a path for integrators to produce a profitable and recurring revenue stream through the implementation of annual service contracts,” said independent sales rep firm, Performance-Plus president Michael Levy. “ihiji has exceptional ways to educate potential customers about this opportunity. With the CI market in transition, ihiji brings a compelling new solution and a great reason for the ESC to contact past customers with a new value proposition. System monitoring will become a major category in the near future and invision is the industry leader as evidenced by their multiple awards.” Having unveiled invision at CEDIA Expo 2009, ihiji has come a long way in the last year, delivering a broadly accepted, low-cost category-changing solution. Integrators directly benefit through immediate overhead cost reduction; simply maximizing their technician’s time, mileage and efficiency by ensuring that the right tools are on the truck for each service call. The category is set to explode in 2011. Educational outreach and offering At the Expo, ihiji technical operations VP Michael Maniscalco joined moderator Michael Heiss as a panelist during the session titled “Future of Entertainment: Cloud Computing/Over The Top (OTT)”.
