Denver, CO - September 6, 2007 – Triad Speakers, Inc., the custom loudspeaker manufacturer recognized for their award-winning InCeiling, InWall, InRoom and OnWall speaker solutions, today announced the OmniRoundDT, a dual-tweeter version of their popular selling OmniRound enclosed ceiling speaker. The OmniRoundDT uses a single 6.5-inch dual voice coil woofer with carbon fiber composite cone and rubber surround and two multi-directional 3/4-inch fabric dome tweeters. According to Paul Scarpelli, Triad Speakers’ Director of Sales and Marketing, “The dual tweeter makes it possible for homeowners to enjoy stereo sound in sections of the home that permit only one ceiling speaker per listening area such as bathrooms, kitchens, laundry rooms, etc.” Accordingly, the OmniRoundDT has two sets of gold-plated spring-loaded terminals to input both the left and right channels from the amplifier. Like all Triad InWall and InCeiling speakers, OmniRoundDT features a fully engineered, sealed enclosure for predictable sound. Scarpelli furthered, ”The majority of other loudspeaker manufacturer’s round in-ceiling speakers are of the open-back variety which cause annoying sound pollution into adjacent rooms. The dampened metal acoustic suspension of the OmniRound enclosure provides superior isolation, therefore sound does not bleed through the floor above. The sound stays in the room in which it is being played.” Further benefits of Triad’s sealed-enclosure design include protection of the drivers and crossover components from moisture, dust, critters and settling construction materials. Triad’s InCeiling OmniRound series has been tested and found to meet or exceed the requirements of UL 2043-01 fire test for heat and visible smoke release for discrete products
