Denver, CO - September 6, 2007 – Custom loudspeaker solution manufacturer Triad Speakers, Inc., today announced that 2007 marks 25-years that the company is in business.
Triad Speakers, Inc. President Larry Pexton says, “When I founded Triad in 1982, my mission was to create a small loudspeaker that sounded good. 25-years later, Triad has become the top high-end, sealed box in-wall loudspeaker manufacturer in the country, with over 400 CEDIA custom integrators nationwide and many internationally.”
Looking back at advancements along the way, Pexton furthered, “Triad defined itself in 1992
as a provider of unique architectural audio / video solutions through innovative design and manufacturing. That mission is unchanged in 2007. We have explicitly studied and modeled the Toyota Production System to implement our mission. The latest improvement is offering custom paint match of the grill frames and inserts in our US manufactured products, at no extra charge.”
Over 90% of Triad’s products are manufactured daily in Portland Oregon, in a pure build-to- order operation with no pre-made inventory of the US built products. The company uses the finest materials, including premium MDF, drivers from the finest vendors in Northern Europe, high-grade crossover components, and the best veneer, paint finishes and grills.
While business in the CEDIA marketplace is traditionally slower during the summer months, the Triad factory remains quite busy fulfilling dealer orders. Paul Scarpelli, Triad’s Director of Sales & Marketing, attributes the steady business to the company’s product line-up and innovative programs.
“Triad makes speakers that fit the room therefore the room doesn’t have to fit the speaker,” says Scarpelli. “We design and manufacture multiple versions of the same speaker for different applications with nearly 70 stock speaker models in 4 families of performance (Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum); all are consistent in sound, regardless of whether an InWall, InCeiling, OnWall or InRoom version.”

Earlier this year, we launched a custom engineering division that focuses solely on modifying existing Triad loudspeakers to fit specific spaces or if required, engineer product solutions from the ground-up, from minor to complete one-off designs. This, along with Triad’s custom paint and veneer matching programs, enable our dealers to provide great sounding, elegant looking loudspeaker solutions in the most demanding of installations where standard products just won’t fit due to the construction or the room’s décor.”
